Lesia Chytra (Book) self-published her first novel, Tarnished, in 2015. In the summer of 2017, she was awarded the Kobzar Scholarship at the Summer Workshop: Humber College School for Writers. She also completed the Post-Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing at Humber College, working with mentor Joseph Kertes. Her second novel, on which Breaking Bread is based, is in the final revision process. Lesia Chytra was born and raised in St Catharines, Ontario before moving to Toronto to pursue a career in education. She was active in the Ukrainian community while growing up, participating in Ukrainian scouting, dancing, language studies and folk cultural events.

Myron Genyk (Music, Lyrics, Book) grew up learning classical piano and guitar, singing in choirs, writings songs, and performing at a wide range of venues. He completed the MASSIVE (Musical Applied to Stage, Screen and Interactive Visual Environments) program at Sheridan College, and participated in the CMTWC’s Writers Workshop and Advanced Workshop under the tutelage of Canadian music theatre legend Leslie Arden, where he further developed his songwriting skills. Myron has written and produced music for three short films. Breaking Bread is Myron’s first full-length musical.
