Sep. 2017: Myron Genyk and Lesia Chytra began writing Breaking Bread.

Jan. 2018: The first draft was workshopped at Sheridan College with eleven very talented alumni from the Music Theatre program, culminating in a 35-minute showcase presentation. Using notes and feedback from this process, the show was extensively re-written.

Aug. 2018: New songs were workshopped at Sheridan College with the Music Theatre summer interns.

Nov. 2018: Two weeks of workshopping and rehearsals culminated in two public showcase performances at the Plast Huculak Centre in Etobicoke, ON, featuring a cast of nine, and four musicians.
